Before cleaning Russalite gemstone jewelry primary concern should be for the gemstones hardness. Russalite is still not as robust as a Diamond, possessing a hardness of 5 to 6 on the Moh’s scale. Therefore we suggest that you perform only a gentle wipe with lukewarm water and a mild detergent.
Be careful to use a soft cloth, similar to what is used to clean the lenses of glasses. Ultrasonic cleaners, steamers, strong chemicals such as bleach should be completely avoided.
